Evaluation 2: How does your music magazine represent particular social groups?

My music magazine represents both genders, but I think it is more bias towards girls, main reason for this is because of the costume, the way the girls are posed and the location. Their costume represents normal girls with an edge, their riped shirts and ripped jeans and military boots really goes with the theme of indie music. Representing normal girls that are interested in that genre. The way they are posed shows that they are happy girls who are fun, and their closeness represents friends. this is an important image for my magazine because I did not want the wrong message about them to come across, they need to look comfortable around each other. Their appearance is very normal, two nice looking girls, not too extreme, this makes them much more relatable to the audience and they can warm to girls, helped by the fact that there is an interview with them, enhancing their popularity and likability. The location of the images helps to make it relatable. Unlike most magazines the images are not taken in a studio, I think this makes it more realistic and believable that they are real girls who are a new band.
